Community Organizer for Faith Based Organizations in Pilsen and Chicago Metro Area  

Pilsen Neighbors Community Council seeks bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking individuals to identify, train, and organize community leaders to address local and regional issues such as discrimination, immigrant rights, crime and joblessness. 

POSITION
DESCRIPTION

 

ISAIAH is an ecumenical, multi-racial, democratic and nonpartisan congregation-based community organization in the Twin City and St. Cloud regions of Minnesota.

Experienced Organizer Position: Maintain and expand regional cluster of member congregations; engaging grassroots leaders of faith in campaigns to promote racial and economic justice in Minnesota and United States.  Conduct and create leadership trainings. Staffing regional and state-wide campaigns such as health care, transportation and education reform.

Entry Level Organizer Position:
Will receive intensive mentorship to master the disciplines and practices of faith-based community organizing.  Engage with 6-8 member congregations to build leadership teams, bring teams into action in the public arena around local and regional campaigns for racial and economic justice with a focus on healthy communities.
