Gamaliel COVID Policy and Protocols (updated April 3, 2023)

Gamaliel remains committed to the health and safety of all who participate in our trainings and other in-person events. We recognize that COVID-19 policies and protocols across the country have been relaxed as a result of the decrease in new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. In response, we have amended our COVID-19 policy and protocols as follows:

  • Vaccinations and boosters are highly recommended, though not required, for all persons participating in our in-person events.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own masks to the in-person event and follow basic social distancing practices.
  • Participants will be asked to respond to a brief health questionnaire upon arrival/check-in at the venue and to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms every day while participating in the event (see questions below). The CDC has a useful list of symptoms available aquí.
  • Gamaliel reserves the right to exclude or to require COVID testing for any individual who exhibits symptoms of illness.
  • If a participant tests positive for COVID-19 in the week following the in-person event, that individual is urged to contact a member of the Gamaliel national staff so that other participants may be notified of possible exposure. The individual’s name will remain confidential.
  • Participants are asked to stay home regardless of vaccination status if:
    o They are feeling ill or have any symptoms of illness;
    o They have tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days prior to the event; or
    o They have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days prior to the event.
  • Refunds for cancellations due to illness will be handled on a case by case basis.

Gamaliel will carefully monitor the COVID-19 situation in the United States ahead of all in-person events. Gamaliel reserves the right to cancel or postpone in-person events at any point before the beginning of the event if deemed necessary for the health and safety of participants and staff.
