National Leadership Training – July 2024

This training is designed for leaders of the Gamaliel Network, and in certain cases, our allies. All participants must be sponsored by a Gamaliel affiliate. The organizer or a key leader of the Gamaliel affiliate must meet with the participant and complete a “Sponsorship Form” before the training begins. The participant should complete the “Leader Reflection Form.

Assignments
Please read the following prior to Training.
1) The Melian Debate
2) The Wikipedia article on the “Montgomery Bus Boycott”. Please feel free to read other sources as well.
3) Leader reflection
4) Register for Orientation, July 11th, 6- 7 PM

Cost and lodging
$850 per person – payable at time of registration
The registration is based on bedrooms that are single occupancy

Cost includes:
Housing for six nights
Note that dinner is not provided on Sunday 7/21/24
3 meals provided on Monday 7/22/24 through Friday 7/25/24
Breakfast on Saturday (7/26/24), lunch is not provided on Saturday
Any relevant materials for the training

Note: Ground transportation is not included.
A commuter rate is available for participants who are staying locally but not onsite. Please inquire by emailing [email protected] with the subject line: NLT Commuter Rate.

Orientation
Participants must attend a mandatory online orientation onThursday July 11, 2024 from 6-7:15 pm CST.

Transporation
Ground transportation to the Retreat Center is not provided.

Traveling by air – The Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is approximately 93 miles from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Check-in and Check-out
Check-in begins Sunday, July 21 at 4:00 p.m.

Schedule
Training begins on Sunday July 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Please note that you may not be able to access your sleeping room before 4:00 p.m. that day. Lunch/Dinner will not be served on July 21, 2024, so plan accordingly.

Training will conclude on Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will not be served that day, so plan accordingly.

Prohibitions
The use of alcohol and non-prescribed drugs (controlled substances) is strictly prohibited.
Smoking is restricted at the University. Possession or use of any weapon, firearm, or fireworks is strictly prohibited.
