Civil Rights of Immigrants Campaign to hold meeting April 29, issues petition

Please join Gamaliel’s Civil Rights of Immigrants Campaign on April 29 at 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT) for El Día del Niño: Niños Migrantes No Acompañados (Children’s Day: Unaccompanied Migrant Children).

On the 100th day of President Biden’s term in office, we’re taking action on behalf of the Unaccompanied Migrant Children who have arrived in our country. We will discuss the issue of Unaccompanied Migrant Children and our demands for their support and care, including: A fast, humane process of reunification with their family members; Partnership with the children’s home countries to solve/reduce child migration and its causes; and long-term emotional support and resources for child migrants. We will circulate a petition articulating these demands among the Gamaliel Network and send it to members of Congress.

Read the letter that will accompany our petition here.

The petition is live now. Sign here in advance of the meeting.

The event will be broadcast on a Zoom webinar and Facebook Live @gamalielnetwork. To attend via Zoom, register here.
